01. Anti-Bribery & Corruption

The Workwear Lab is committed to conducting business honestly, fairly and with integrity. We do not tolerate bribery, corruption or improper influence in any form.

Employees and those acting on our behalf must not offer, give, request or accept any payment, gift, benefit or other advantage intended to improperly influence a business decision.

Our approach

  • We expect business decisions to be made fairly and transparently.
  • Bribes, kickbacks and facilitation payments are not acceptable.
  • Gifts and hospitality must be reasonable, proportionate and legitimate.
  • Conflicts of interest should be disclosed where they could affect a business decision.
  • Suspected bribery or improper conduct should be reported so it can be investigated.

We expect suppliers, contractors and other business partners working with us to maintain similarly responsible standards.

02. Environmental & Sustainability

We recognise that our operations, the products we supply and the wider garment industry have an environmental impact.

Our aim is to make responsible and practical improvements wherever reasonably possible, while continuing to meet the needs of our customers.

Our commitments

  • Consider environmental impact when making business and purchasing decisions.
  • Reduce avoidable waste and encourage responsible use of materials.
  • Reuse and recycle materials where practical.
  • Encourage efficient use of energy and resources.
  • Offer customers more responsible product choices where suitable options are available.
  • Work with established suppliers and encourage responsible practices throughout our supply chain.

We seek continual improvement rather than making environmental claims that cannot be supported or verified.

03. Equality, Diversity & Inclusion

We believe people should be treated fairly, respectfully and with dignity.

We aim to provide an inclusive working environment where individuals are valued and where employment decisions are based on relevant skills, experience, performance and business requirements.

Our commitments

  • Promote fair treatment and equal opportunity.
  • Oppose unlawful discrimination, harassment and victimisation.
  • Encourage respectful behaviour between colleagues, customers and business partners.
  • Consider reasonable workplace adjustments where appropriate.
  • Respond appropriately to concerns about unfair or inappropriate treatment.
04. Quality Assurance

Providing reliable products and consistent branding is central to the service offered by The Workwear Lab.

We use defined processes to help maintain quality from initial enquiry through artwork approval, branding, production and dispatch.

Our approach

  • Review customer requirements before production.
  • Check artwork suitability and prepare proofs where required.
  • Use appropriate branding methods for the product and artwork concerned.
  • Maintain production and quality-control procedures within our operation.
  • Investigate reported quality concerns and take appropriate corrective action.
  • Look for opportunities to improve processes, reliability and customer experience.
05. Modern Slavery & Human Trafficking

We oppose slavery, servitude, forced labour, compulsory labour and human trafficking in all forms.

We expect people working within our own business to be treated lawfully and fairly, and we expect suppliers and business partners to share those principles.

Our commitments

  • Do not knowingly support or conduct business involving forced or compulsory labour.
  • Do not tolerate human trafficking or exploitation.
  • Expect suppliers and partners to comply with applicable employment and labour laws.
  • Take concerns about modern slavery or exploitation seriously.
  • Review supplier relationships where credible concerns are identified.

This policy describes our business commitment to preventing modern slavery. Where separate statutory reporting requirements apply, any formal Modern Slavery Statement should be considered separately.

06. Ethical Sourcing & Supplier Standards

The Workwear Lab sources products through a range of established manufacturers, distributors and supply partners.

While we do not directly control every organisation within the global garment supply chain, we expect the businesses we work with to operate lawfully, ethically and responsibly.

We expect suppliers to

  • Respect applicable employment and human-rights requirements.
  • Reject forced labour, human trafficking and unlawful child labour.
  • Provide appropriate and safe workplace conditions.
  • Comply with applicable environmental and product regulations.
  • Conduct business honestly and responsibly.
  • Address legitimate concerns when identified.

Supplier selection may also take account of product quality, reliability, commercial suitability and available evidence of responsible business practices.

07. Health & Safety

We are committed to providing and maintaining a safe working environment so far as reasonably practicable.

Health and safety is a shared responsibility and employees are expected to follow relevant procedures, use equipment correctly and report hazards or concerns.

Our approach includes

  • Identifying and managing workplace risks.
  • Maintaining appropriate equipment and working practices.
  • Providing information, instruction or training where required.
  • Encouraging prompt reporting of accidents, hazards and near misses.
  • Reviewing working practices where improvements may be required.
08. Whistleblowing

We encourage genuine concerns about wrongdoing, unsafe practices, unlawful conduct or serious breaches of company standards to be raised appropriately.

Concerns should be raised in good faith through an appropriate manager or senior member of the business so that the matter can be considered and investigated where necessary.

Our principles

  • Genuine concerns should be taken seriously.
  • Concerns should be handled sensitively and, where practical, confidentially.
  • Individuals should not be treated unfairly for raising a genuine concern in good faith.
  • Knowingly false or malicious allegations may be treated differently from genuine whistleblowing concerns.
